The following diagrams describe how to read the different tyre size designations in Passenger and Light Truck construction that may be found within the tyre marketplace.
The light truck designations are depicted as either imperial or metric. Imperial is where the tyre section is measured in inches, as in diagrams 3 and 4.
The metric designation is shown in diagrams 5 and 6, where the section width is millimetres.
